Member Testimonials

Denby Pottery

"We use Denby crockery in some of our cottages and have had the flyers in our cottages for a number of years. When the memo came out to visit the site we didn’t hesitate to book our places.

We attended the visit to Denby Pottery Village, expecting as on previous Marketing Peak District visits to meet up with fellow members and gain an insight into what’s on offer at newly refurbished Denby Pottery Village.

The visit was excellent, we laughed and chatted with friends old and new, the tour of the pottery was brilliant, we even made clay models and painted plates. Lunch was very tasty and showcased the quality of produce served in the visitor restaurant perfectly.

When we got home we posted photos of our visit on our Blakelow Facebook page. This was seen by some of our guest who were booked into our Christmas cottage for the weekend. Our post inspired them to visit Denby (twice) which they thoroughly enjoyed, whilst there they saw that James Martin was to attend an event in later in the year. Obviously fans, as soon as they returned to Blakelow they booked 2 tickets after making sure we had a cottage available for another weekend stay…. Thank you Marketing Peak District and of course Denby Pottery Village… just an example of MPDD membership!"

World of Wedgwood

"This was a fabulous day out. The museum and factory tours were brilliant. The young ladies were well informed, passionate about Wedgwood and eager to share their knowledge. It was lovely to have the opportunity to throw a pot and the girls who helped us were very patient and helped us to produce something we're proud of.

Designing the plate after clear instruction and guidance from the instructors was great fun and we are really look forward to recieving our creations in the post. The afternoon tea was superb, 5* and the waitresses attentive. Loved every minute and will be visiting again."
