Marketing Peak District and Derbyshire are proud to announce that we have successfully secured £1.49m European Regional Growth Fund (ERDF) funding to give your business a marketing edge.

Until 31st March 2019 we will be delivering an exciting range of workshops and events designed to improve the bottom line of your business, attract new business and access untapped markets. Working with a host of industry experts we have devised a series of FREE workshops ranging from China Welcome to Social Media for Fab Greenies, Accessibility Awareness to business finance and many more. What's on offer?

A range of full and half day workshops themed around:

One to one expert advice may also be available to you; whether you have a particular issue that you need help and advice with or are looking to build on information that you received at one of the workshops, this support is aimed at helping your business grow and thrive.

Who's it for?

The project is aimed at small to medium sized enterprise (SME) visitor economy businesses* in Derbyshire, with less than 250 employees.

What's the cost?

The first 12 hours of assistance for qualifying businesses** is FREEdue to funding from Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

*Visitor Economy and its supply chain businesses:

  • Accommodation providers
  • Activity providers
  • Attractions
  • Cafes, restaurants, teashops etc.
  • Festivals
  • Craft and artisan producers
  • etc.
**Qualifying businesses
  • Turnover less £25 million.
  • Gross Assets less the £12.5 million.
  • Employ less than 250 (FTE) employees (does not include apprentices).
  • The business cannot be owned by a non-SME.

The following events are FREE for visitor economy businesses (accommodation, attractions, activity providers, cafes, pubs, restaurants etc) based in Derbyshire. As this programme of events is funded via ERDF you will be required to complete an eligibility enrolment form.

10th May - Germany Welcome, 2 half day workshops; one in the morning, one in the afternoon, both at Callow Hall Hotel, Ashbourne

18th May – Social media for “fab greenies”, full day workshop, The Old Hall Hotel, Buxton

23rd May – Boost your business, 18:00 – 20:00 at Hassop Station Café, Hassop

25th May – China Welcome, full day workshop at the New Bath Hotel, Matlock Bath

China is one of the fastest growing markets and is one of our target markets for our current and upcoming international campaigns. This workshop will tell you everything that you need to know to make visiting Chinese guests feel welcome. Places on this workshop are limited to one per business but I will have a wait list should space be available.


6th July - Marketing your accessibility - how to make the most of the purple pound!
